After many weeks of flying an FPV quad-copter I began to realise I wanted to try fixed wing flight. When flying a quad-copter, flight is maintained with throttle. No throttle and the quad simply falls. There is no concept of 'glide' with a quad-copter. The closest a quad gets to gliding is the 'hang-time' after releasing the throttle after a throttle punch, that is a moment of zero-g before the quad ultimately begins to fall.
